Fr Joe McDonagh Golf Day

Fr Joe was probably the most dedicated golfer our Diocese has ever seen. Upon the discovery of a trophy in made in his name at St Thomas More’s, Middlesbrough, a team golf event was organised and played last year.

Team Thornaby, captained by Canon Dan Spaight won the day, with St Thomas More and The Holy Name of Mary Parishes coming second and third. It was a great day enjoyed by around forty golfers.

Charity Event for Baghdad and Boro Hospitals

Organisers are aiming to raise £10,000 for hospitals in Middlesbrough and Baghdad through a charity event at the Riverside Stadium this June. Middlesbrough-born TV impressionist Kevin Connelly and local band The Beer Pigs will be star attractions at the gala dinner at the Riverside Stadium on Friday June 22. Day of Divine Mercy

On Sunday April 15th, 2-5pm at St Thomas More’s Church, Beechwood.

The day begins with a blessing of the image at 2pm, followed by veneration of the image, adoration of the Most Blessed Sacrament, and confessions.

Fr Pat Keogh will celebrate Mass at 4pm.

Everyone welcome.

There will be shared tea afterwards.

The Divine Mercy Novena begins on Good Friday.

In the four Gospels

Sr Margaret Eason DMJ offers four talks on the Passion in each of the Gospels for the parishes of Middlesbrough.

Each talk will be given twice, once in the afternoon and then repeated in the evening. 2:30 - 3:30pm and then 7pm-8pm. St Thomas More’s Church Hall.
